It still is (I think.) the highest roller coaster in the world, and hits 97 MPH at the bottom of the first drop, which is insanely fast. We are definitely going to ride it at least once, however, on the way home. Sadly, that beast didn't open for business until an hour after we needed to leave. On Sunday morning we headed for San Diego, but with a quick stop so that we could ride the immense Desperado roller coaster at the Nevada/California state line. Our time in Sin City was spent primarily walking around and viewing the sights, and then riding the very fast and dynamic roller coaster located in the New York, New York casino. We caught up with Will, Steve, and Lynne in their two cargo vans just after Green River, Utah, and ended up caravanning with them into Las Vegas on Saturday evening. After a far too brief of a visit to our farm in Boulder, it was time for us to head our cargo van in the direction of San Diego. Ashley came in on Friday from Long Island, and we had a very nice dinner that evening with my wife, Nanette, and my daughter, Tanith. Our journey began on Saturday morning in Boulder, as Ashley and I pulled out of our driveway for California.
